MH Benton is a photographer whose work bridges the timeless dialogue between history, nature, and human experience. With an artistic eye for dramatic lighting and composition, Benton transforms fleeting encounters with wildlife, landscapes, and everyday subjects into enduring visual narratives. His collections—ranging from the avian grace of Birds of a Feather to the atmospheric stillness of Landscapes & Such—reveal both technical precision and a storyteller’s sensibility. In Wildlife & Pets, Benton captures the individuality and character of animals with empathy, while his Fine Art Calendar Series reflects a fascination with astronomy and historical cycles, merging structure with artistry. Each photograph invites viewers to pause, reflect, and discover the extraordinary within the ordinary, affirming Michael’s belief that beauty and meaning reside in the details of the world around us.

Michael grew up on St Simons spending his days traversing it’s marshes and woodlands. Much has changed, but his learned knowledge of the island allows him to find all the right spots to photograph its wildlife and points of interest.

Coastal Georgia provides Michael with excellent opportunities for Landscape and Wildlife photography. Be it life on the water, or something as simple a set of steps…

…or as complex as a a docked fishing fleet, his unique eye provides us with something special to see.
